Why do I walk?

No one ever forgets the first time you hear that you and/or a loved one has cancer. I know this from personal experience: I am uterine cancer survivor and remain grateful that my cancer was self-contained and I remain in remission.

I have lived with knowing the impact of cancer on families because my mother battled non-hodgkin's lymphoma for most of her life and my dad battled liver cancer secondary to hemochromatosis. We have family and friends who battled and continue to battle uterine cancer, breast cancer, cancer of the digestive tract and pancreatic cancer. We have also seen how Alzheimer's disease has impacted our family and our friends' parents. Medical advances in these areas area essential to cures, treatment and enhanced quality of life and Hadassah is on the forefront of such research.

Hadassah Walks Long Island for Stem Cell Research and Beyond.

The scientific evidence is very clear: the cures and treatments for many debilitating and fatal diseases will come from stem cell research and immunotherapy interventions.

The medical research we do today can improve the world of tomorrow.

Hadassah Medical Organization (HMO) is internationally recognized for decades of leadership in stem cell research and for immunotherapies that marshal the body’s own resources to fight disease. The stunning results of HMO clinical trials for potential treatments of MS, ALS, Alzheimer’s and other neurodegenerative diseases as well as age related macular degeneration have riveted the worldwide medical community.

We are very excited to be holding our walk at The Nassau County Museum of Art in Roslyn Harbor on May 4, 2025. Please remember, donating to my page, is a donation towards the walk but not a registration to attend. You’re invited to WALK with me and my Hadassah friends by registering HERE.

TOGETHER WE CAN TURN RESEARCH INTO CURES.

I hope I can count on your support this year. To make a donation, PLEASE click on the red DONATE box.

THANK YOU FOR YOUR SUPPORT!
