Hadassah Midwest and Young Judaea invite you for a virtual conversation about pluralism with Young Judaea leaders and alumni to see how this core pillar is incorporated into both the movement and their lives, setting a tone for deep conversation across opinions.

Adina H. Frydman is the CEO of Young Judaea Global, the oldest Zionist youth movement in North America. Having spent 12 years at UJA-Federation of New York, first spearheading the synagogue department, SYNERGY and then as executive director of Community Resources, Adina focused on strengthening the NY Jewish community and its organizations through Talent Development, Synagogue and Day School Initiatives, Community Volunteerism, and Crisis Mobilization. Before coming to New York in 2008, Adina was the Director of Focus Israel at the St. Louis Jewish Federation, where she worked with MAKOM Israel to foster engagement between synagogues and Israel. In addition, Adina received a Bachelor of Music from Stetson University and Cantorial Investiture from Hebrew Union College-Jewish Institute for Religion. Adina founded the music program at the Brandeis Institute for Music and Art (BIMA), directed several choirs through HaZamir: The International Jewish Teen Choir. Adina is the proud mother, along with her husband Rabbi Avi Katz Orlow of four children. speakers

Rabbi Adam Drucker is the Director of Education for Young Judaea Israel and is a passionate activist and educator who works with several organizations to bring about religious equality in Israel.
For over a decade, Rabbi Adam has taught for multiple educational institutions and developed materials for schools and museums around the world. Since joining the Young Judaea team in 2017, Rabbi Adam has been responsible for developing high-level educational programs, providing our participants with expert guidance, and leading meaningful experiences year in year out. Rabbi Adam lives in Kiryat Gat with his partner and their five children.

Rabbi Leora Frankel grew up in central New Jersey, where she was very involved in Young Judaea and Tel Yehudah, including serving as National Mazkira from 1998-1999. Following YJ Year Course, Rabbi Frankel earned dual bachelor’s degrees from Barnard College and the Jewish Theological Seminary (JTS) as well as a master’s degree in Jewish Education at JTS. She then returned to her Young Judaea roots, working as the National Director of Youth Leadership, before enrolling in HUC-JIR, where she received rabbinic ordination in 2012. Currently Rabbi Frankel serves on the clergy team at Larchmont Temple in NY and is also the president of the Westchester Board of Rabbis. She lives in Larchmont with her husband, Andrew Sage, their children, Miriam, Judith, and Caleb (and two Zionist cats named Bamba and Bissli).
