You won't want to miss our Film Forum! We are excited to be showing the film “Monkey
Business: The Adventures of Curious George's Creators." Who doesn’t love that mischievous monkey Curious George? But did you know that The Reys, Hans and Margret were German Jews who fled the Nazis in France on a home-made bicycle. Come watch this documentary narrated by Sam Waterston and see how George saved the day.
In addition to the film, we are excited to have Leah Sills as our guest speaker. Leah is a member of the board of directors for the Sousa Mendes Foundation, the Holocaust & Human Rights Education Center and the Sills Family Foundation. Aristides de Sousa Mendes was a Portuguese consul during World War II who saved the lives of thousands of refugees seeking escape from the Nazis. Two of those refugees were Hans and Margret Rey.
This film and its noted speaker will make for a riveting afternoon. Please come, bring your friends and family.
Registration: $36 (includes film showing, snacks and speaker)
