Join us as we welcome 2025 with a new series of exciting and varied Zoom programs each month! Hadassah Elana Chapter is proud to have the following presenters and we thank each of them for sharing their expertise with us as we raise money for Hadassah Medical Organization.
Daniel Rothenberg - February 18 · 7:30 pm
"Forensic Science. The Real Story"
Daniel Rothenberg has been practicing forensic science for over 26 years at the Westchester County Forensic Laboratory. His specialty is trace evidence. Through a series of slides, videos and case studies, Daniel will present forensic science from his firsthand knowledge.
Andrew I. Panken - March 4 · 7:30 pm
"Key aspects of estate planning, succession, asset transfers and charitable donations"
Andrew I. Panken practices in the areas of income tax and estate planning, tax controversies and related corporate work involved in effectuating tax planning strategies. Mr. Panken, who received his B.A. (magna cum laude, Phi Beta Kappa), 1974; J.D., 1977; and LL.M., in Taxation, 1982 from New York University, was a trial attorney in the Office of the Chief Council, Internal Revenue Service, 1977-1982. He is a member of the White Plains and Westchester County Bar Associations. Join us to learn about the key aspects of estate planning, including planning for business succession, intra-family asset transfers and charitable donations.
Rachel Klein - March 25 · 7:30 pm
"Title VI: What is it and how it is being used to combat anti-Jewish hatred." Speaking to its applicability in the college context.
Rachel joined the Hillel of Westchester team as Executive Director in 2014. Prior to her time in the Hillel movement, Rachel served as a Reform synagogue director in New Jersey, youth group advisor, and teacher. She began her social work career in 2003 as a direct-practice social worker in mental health and substance abuse. On her journey from clinical social work to Hillel professional, she served as an Assistant Child Advocate with the State of New Jersey for nearly a decade, where she focused on anti-bullying efforts, childhood lead poisoning, legislative oversight and individual advocacy.

"Klara's Truth" by Susan Weissbach Friedman - The Writing Process and the Reasons Behind Writing It.
Susan Weissbach (Friedman), LCSW, has been a psychotherapist with a specialty in women's issues, family therapy, and trauma-focused therapy for over twenty-five years. A graduate of Hamilton College, Boston University's MSW & MPH program, and the Ackerman Institute for the Family, she is also EMDRIA certified and a Somatic Experiencing Practitioner (SEP). She is not currently accepting new clients. Originally from Long Island, she now lives in Westchester County with her husband and has two daughters in their twenties, and a rescue dog named Chet.
Dr. Nicole Fleischmann - May 6 · 7:30 pm
"The Second Mouth" by Nicole Fleischmann, M.D. - One Woman's Journey to Decode a Hidden Language for a New Era of Women's Health.
Dr. Fleischmann is board certified in urology and Female Pelvic Medicine and Reconstructive Surgery. She received her medical degree from the State University of New York Downstate Health Sciences University in Brooklyn, NY, where she graduated summa cum laude. Dr. Fleischmann completed her surgery and urology residency at Albert Einstein College of Medicine in Bronx, NY and continued her training in a fellowship at NYU School of Medicine. She is passionate about practicing an integrative approach to urogynecology, correcting the pervasive, unconscious and paradoxical behaviors which can turn into the structural problems and bothersome symptoms that prompt women to seek care. She is the author of the new book “The Second Mouth”, released in October 2024, which addresses the powerful mind-body connection in functional urology. Dr. Fleischmann serves as Director of FPMRS at White Plains Hospital Center where she has been in clinical practice for the last 25 years. She holds an active appointment as Assistant Clinical Professor in Obstetrics and Assistant Clinical Professor of Gynecology and Urology at Albert Einstein College of Medicine. Additionally, she is a member of the American Urologic Association and Society for Urodynamics and Female Urology (SUFU). Dr. Fleischmann is the author of several research publications and presentations. She lives and practices in New York.
