Join us for a conversation featuring: Gidon Melmed, Deputy Executive Director for Development, Hadassah Offices in Israel, and Dr. Elior Moreh, MD, PhD, Head of Neurological Rehabilitation Department, Hadassah-Hebrew University Medical Center. They will talk about the ongoing situation in Israel and ways Hadassah is supporting our soldiers and Israeli friends.

ABOUT OUR SPEAKERS:
Gidon Melmed
Deputy Executive Director for Development, Hadassah Offices in Israel
Gidon Melmed, who has served as deputy executive director for development at Hadassah Offices in Israel since 2022, began to lead the Development, Donors, and Events Department in 2016. His role involves managing philanthropic relations and development operations while liaising with the Hadassah projects and global partners. Gidon’s career in non-profit leadership spans more than two decades, including a significant position at the Summit Institute. He holds an MBA from Swinburne University of Technology and a bachelor’s degree in life sciences from the Hebrew University of Jerusalem. He lives in Jerusalem with his wife and three children.
Dr. Elior Moreh, MD, PhD
Head of Neurological Rehabilitation Department, Hadassah-Hebrew University Medical Center
Dr. Elior Moreh has been the Head of the Neurological Rehabilitation Department at Hadassah-Hebrew University Medical Center since January 2024. Born and raised in Paris, France, Elior immigrated to Israel in 1997 and pursued a distinguished medical career.
Dr. Moreh completed her medical degree at the Hebrew University in 2004, simultaneously earning a Master's in Public Health during her residency in Physical Medicine and Rehabilitation at Hadassah. Since 2012, she has served as an attending physician in the Rehabilitation Department.
Her academic journey continued with groundbreaking research in the Neuroscience Laboratory under Prof. Ehud Zohary, culminating in a PhD in Neurobiology from the Hebrew University in 2021. Her doctoral thesis explored "Memory and Spatial Representations in Health and Patients with Unilateral Spatial Neglect."
Dr. Moreh's clinical and research work focuses on neurological impairments resulting from stroke and traumatic brain injury. Utilizing advanced neuroimaging techniques like tractography and functional MRI, she investigates the mechanisms underlying disorders of language, spatial attention, and short-term memory.
Passionate about rehabilitation, Dr. Moreh views her field as a profound exploration of human resilience, revealing the remarkable strength of patients navigating significant medical challenges.
