Be inspired by our featured speaker, Dr. Karen Ezrine, Co-Chair of Bringing Israel to the U.S. and the Hadassah International Philanthropy Liaison. She is the immediate past Chair of Hadassah International.
Karen received her BA from the University of Pennsylvania and her MD from the Thomas Jefferson University School of Medicine. After a residency in Internal Medicine at University of Maryland, she was a fellow in medical oncology at the Baltimore Cancer Research Program of the National Cancer Institute. After leaving private practice in oncology, Karen worked for the Office of Disability of the Social Security Administration, developing medical policy.
Karen joined Hadassah of Greater Baltimore and worked to develop a number of medical education programs and Major Gift events. She has served on the National Board of HWZOA and has had several portfolios. As Co-Chair of the Hadassah National Physicians Council, she planned and led three Continuing Medical Education Programs in Israel and was the Hadassah representative for the Victor Center for Prevention of Jewish Genetic Diseases. She has previously served as Chair of HMO.
Karen graduated from the Florence Melton Adult Institute and was on the board of her synagogue. She has also served as a Vice President of the Jewish Federation of Collier County. Other interests include travel, reading, golf, theater, and Jewish studies. She volunteers at community theaters and takes acting classes. She has appeared in productions in Naples and Marco Island.
Karen and her husband Ed reside in Naples, Florida and have 3 children and one grandson.
